Dutch spindoctor fired

Back in July we wrote how small talk with journalists of Belgian Federal Police spokeswoman Els Cleemput lead to her resignation. The latest victim is Dutch media strategist and spindoctor Dig Istha, who was brought in to support Minister Ella Vogelaar to improve her profile in and with the Dutch media. Istha had given an interview to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf last Saturday in which we made some critical remarks about mrs Vogelaar. Supposedly the two did not get along, mrs Vogelaar did not follow any advice from mr Istha and according to Istha she was surrounded by a club of socialist women. I can’t imagine that someone with the profile of mr Istha has been naive in making these remarks during the interview. Maybe this was part of his personal spindoctorstrategy that has not been revealed yet? Anyway, check out this embarrassing video interview (in Dutch) with Minister Vogelaar which clearly demonstrates her need for media support.
